This project will provide Vocational Education to 20 most vulnerable youth in 2022 at the Nurture Africa Vocational Training Centre.
75% of Uganda's population is under the age of eighteen. Early school drop out of children living in impoverished households leads to a life of struggle. Vulnerable youth - particularly adolescent girls & young women are at high risk of economic insecurity, early pregnancy, suffering abuse and HIV infection. These can be determining factors in a young persons ability to progress in life and provide for themselves as they enter adulthood.
This project will provide 20 most at risk youth with the opportunity to gain an education, acquire employable skills and attain a certificate recognised by the Ugandan Ministry of Education. The Nurture Africa Vocational Training Centre will provide a choice of courses in Tailoring, Hair & Beauty, Catering and Carpentry. Students will receive both practical and theoretical knowledge along with basic IT skills in order to gain the necessary skills to provide for themselves as they enter adulthood
This project will educate and empower 20 mostly female youth, enabling them to gain the skills and knowledge to ensure that they can provide for themselves and lve a life free from poverty in all its forms.
