Project Report | Jan 15, 2024
End of the year report

By Noemi Farina - Project Manager | The 2023 is over! Ready for a new start!

This last year 2023 we welcomed 339 children for the disadvantage villages for a full week of environmental education!

Each week, as we welcome the children, we carefully select a Student of the Week based on their remarkable progress. These students are honored with gifts generously provided by our volunteers. Additionally, our volunteers have graciously donated various items such as candies, stationery, cosmetics, and clothing, which we distribute to those children who are most in need.
As part of our efforts to promote environmental consciousness, we gift the Students of the Week with a spekboom tree to plant either at home or at school, contributing to our fight against climate change.
Moreover, we organize a transformative experience —a game drive— for groups of 10 students. This outing holds immense significance as it offers many of these children their first-ever encounter with wild animals up close. This rare opportunity prompts them to recognize the importance of these creatures in our world. To make these excursions possible, we collaborate with nearby game reserves who generously sponsor these outings for the children.
Through our Environment Education initiatives facilitated by dedicated volunteers, we utilize flashcards adorned with vivid images, aiding the children, particularly those grappling with the English language, to comprehend these crucial concepts more easily.
We hope all is well on your side and thank you again SO MUCH for your trust and support.
