Dear Friends and Supporters,
The first months of 2026 have filled us with renewed hope and visible progress at the Educate and Empower a Girl Project in Kenya. Thanks to your incredible generosity through GlobalGiving, we have continued standing beside vulnerable girls, helping them stay in school and chase their dreams even amid tough economic times.
This reporting period has been especially meaningful. In January, we warmly welcomed two new beneficiaries, Sheila and Margaret, into the sponsorship program. Three more girls will join at the end of May 2026, bringing the total number of supported students to 10. Because of you, these girls now receive school fees, learning materials, uniforms, and consistent mentorship, removing the heavy burdens that so often push bright young girls out of the classroom.
Your support is truly transforming lives. Teachers and mentors tell us that the sponsored girls now attend school more regularly, participate actively in class, and concentrate better on their studies. With fees paid on time and essential resources in hand, they can focus on what matters most, preparing for exams and building a brighter future. Their families are deeply grateful; your sponsorship has eased financial pressure at home and created a more stable, supportive environment for learning.
None of this would be possible without you. From January to May 2026, generous donors including Pamela J, Keith K, Belle K, Nesha A, Refat A, Sanam A, Marilyn M, Casey M, Jennifer M, and several anonymous friends helped raise USD 1,838. Every single contribution, no matter the size has directly kept girls in school and restored hope to their families. Thank you for believing in these girls and choosing to invest in their potential.
Beyond financial support, we also strengthened our impact during the April school holidays through the “My Education, My Future” mentorship program. This initiative reached 38 girls and focused on leadership, goal-setting, academic resilience, career awareness, and personal development. The girls left the sessions more confident, inspired, and determined to overcome challenges and stay committed to their education.
As we look ahead, our dream is to expand the project and support at least 30 high school and college-going girls across Kenya by the end of 2026. The need is still great, but with your continued partnership, we are confident we can reach even more girls and help them become the future leaders, professionals, and changemakers Kenya needs.
Thank you again for your kindness, belief, and generosity. Together, we are not just paying school fees, we are changing lives, breaking cycles of poverty, and building a brighter future for Kenya, one girl at a time.
With deep gratitude, Educate and Empower Organization
