St Martins School is an oasis for almost a thousand children in the informal settlement of the Kibagare slum and fully relies on donations to provide essentials like food, clean water, education, and more. Our main goal is to sponsor education for all students and as many children in Kibagare as possible because we trully believe in the power of education. Living in an informal settlement like the Kibagare slum means facing daily challenges. Many of our girls and boys encounter obstacles such as environmental challenges, gender vulnerabilities, and financial constraints, which hinder their path to higher education. Sponsorships make a crucial difference, ensuring our students stay in school and get the opportunity to create a better life for themselves and their families.
With sponsorships, we will be able to offer guaranteed schooling for the children from the slum, this is one of the world's most pressing challenges. Girls finishing their secondary education translates to a 50% reduction in early child marriages and also increases wages by 25%. Our school feeding program currently feeds 900 plus students every week, and more than 1300 every Saturday. With donations, we will be able to guarantee meals and reduces cases of children missing out on school.
