Blossoms of Guyana plans to build a library and donate 400 books to provide literacy education for 250 primary school children who come from the poorest areas in Guyana. Blossoms will also provide school supplies for students and teaching supplies for teachers. This project creates a library at the local school, provides a supply of books, school and teaching supplies which will help improve the educational outcomes of students.
Many public schools in Guyana are severely underfunded and without proper funding, schools cannot afford to provide books for reading supplies to students. Additionally, 35% of Guyana's population lives in poverty. This means that many parents do not have the funds to provide their children's school supplies. Blossoms will help to address the funding shortage by providing books, school and teaching supplies to improve literacy in schools and educational outcomes for students.
Blossoms will build a library, provide reading books, school and supplies and teaching supplies to a primary school in Guyana. By providing books and schools supplies we will be able to improve educational outcomes of students in Guyana.
This project will help to eradicate illiteracy for 250 students living in Guyana allowing them to improve their educational and economic opportunities.
