Challenge

Women and girls with disabilities in Pakistan often face compounded discrimination due to both gender and disability. They may encounter additional challenges in accessing education, healthcare, employment, and social inclusion compared to men with disabilities and non-disabled women. Access to quality education remains a significant issue for women with disabilities worldwide. They are less likely to attend school and complete their education compared to their non-disabled peers

Solution

Disabled Welfare Association's through this project will provide education and skills training to 150 women, these women are empowered to lead independent, fulfilling lives and contribute meaningfully to society, ultimately breaking down barriers and fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. Through Education and Skills training, they not only support themselves but also contribute to their families' income, thereby improving overall living standards

Long-Term Impact

The project is not just about educating and training 150 women; it's about breaking the cycle of poverty, promoting independence, and creating a more inclusive and equitable society. These women, once marginalized and burdened, will be the driving force behind positive change, not only in their own lives but in the lives of countless others who look to them as role models and advocates for a brighter future and also help them to lift their families out of poverty circle.
