Last month we shared the story of one of the first children, Efrain, to be embraced by the arms of the Chicuchas Wasi family 26 years ago, and showed why we have a school for just girls today. Efrain was a 9 y/o boy living on his own when he joined the CW family and today he works tirelessly to assure that CW will continue to provide free education for girls who will someday be mothers who will need an education to survive economically and never be so desperate as to abandon their children.
Efrain is much loved today by so many people around the globe who know him as a kind and generous man of integrity and the 2014 "World's Greatest Tour Guide" - especially his family, his 3 children and all the 105 girls at the CW school for girls. They call him Tio (Uncle) and they he cares deeply for them. We need more fathers like Efrain who really care about education equality for girls.
Efrain has just returned home to Cusco, Peru from London where he received the TOP award for the "World's Greatest Tour Guide" and the award money he donated to the CW school. He is surrounded below by CW little girls who love him and all he does to give them a better chance at life. THANK YOU EFRAIN!
