LITTLE ROCK INCLUSIVE EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Little Rock is an Inclusive Early Childhood Development Centre that provides a great start at growth and learning to 250 disadvantaged and special needs children living in the urban slums. We make it possible for children to reach physical, emotional and cognitive development milestone and gain school ready skills.
During this season of COVID 19 we have been able to attend to 230 children between the age of 3 years and 8 years. Apart from the worksheets some of them have been coming to school in turns for music lessons, football coaching and reading of Story books to enhance the reading culture and improve their written and spoken language.
The children come at different intervals10 per class and are attended to by 15 teachers.
We have been able to prepare worksheets for the different children from the different classes the parents are then able to pick them from school on Tuesday and Friday. At the school we have put all the Ministry of health guidelines in place with soap /water or sanitizer to clean their hands. They are all required to have their masks on at school and at the entry point. They are all required to keep social distance during the sessions.
