This project will provide education, skills training, and healthcare to 3,000 vulnerable women and children in Dinajpur District, Bangladesh. We will establish learning centers for 1,000 children, train 800 women in entrepreneurship and vocational skills to launch micro-enterprises, and deliver health services to 1,200 families. By addressing poverty, child marriage, and gender inequality, we are creating sustainable pathways out of poverty for marginalized communities.
In Dinajpur District, Bangladesh, poverty traps families in hardship. Over 60% of children aged 5-16 lack quality education, leading to child labor and early marriage. Women have limited economic opportunities and few skills to support families. Child marriage rates are high, with girls married off before they turn 18. Over 1,200 families lack healthcare access, causing preventable illnesses. This project addresses these interconnected challenges affecting 3,000 vulnerable women and children.
NMKSS will establish learning centers for 1,000 children with supplies and nutrition. NMKSS will train 800 women in vocational skills and entrepreneurship to launch 300+ micro-enterprises for sustainable income. Health camps will serve 1,200 families with maternal/child healthcare and nutrition education. NMKSS will conduct awareness campaigns on child marriage and women's rights, engaging community and religious leaders to change harmful practices.
This project solves poverty affecting 3,000 people in Dinajpur. Educated children will secure stable careers, breaking cycles of hardship for families. Women trained in business gain financial independence, keeping daughters in school longer. Health knowledge prevents illness across generations. NMSS strengthens local organizations to continue this work independently. Women's self-help groups and youth leaders multiply impact throughout communities for decades.
