RADHA runs a drug de-addiction center in Sonepur of Odisha. Many of the de-addicted persons do not find a suitable economic rehabilitation option after leaving the de-addiction center. We intend to set up a training cum production center which can accommodate 25 persons, give hand holding support, backward and forward linkage so that they can lead a dignified life and never relapse. The project summarily would cost 6000 USD.
RADHA runs a drug de-addiction center at Sonepur, Odisha, India. Many of the de-addicted persons, especially youth despite being educated do not find a decent earning. The frustration again compels them to relapse and take refuge in alcohol/ drugs/ or any other substance. The entire de-addicion exercise goes in vain. The problem continues to persist.
This project will train them in a marketable trade so that they can get get a gainful employment and earn a decent living further leading to a life without any addiction to drugs/ alcohol etc. The basic purpose of de-addiction will be served. Further this project will address the unemployment situation in general
The trained youths shall be able to expand their business activities; either self employment or salaried. This will create an opportunity to settle in a decent life with decent earnings. Further the center shall also be used to train other youths of the area in allied trades such as electronic service etc.
