Many marginalized families in Kenya face chronic poverty due to limited access to education, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurial support. Women and youth are particularly vulnerable, often depending on irregular income sources that do not meet basic needs. The lack of vocational skills and startup capital prevents them from participating in meaningful economic activities. This persistent cycle of dependency undermines community resilience and hinders sustainable development.
Fauza Foundation will implement community-based training programs in soap making and tailoring, targeting 50 households across Kenya. - Soap Making Program: Participants will receive training on production, branding, and marketing, along with starter kits and ingredients to begin their own ventures. - Tailoring Program: Trainees will learn garment making and repair, receive sewing machines and tailoring starter kits, and be supported to start small businesses or join cooperatives.
