The project will support warm clothes and temporary housing for 50 families affected by the recent 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Western Nepal. The project will also educate families to protect from traffickers or illegal displacement of children.
The recent 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Jajarkot, Rukum and Salyan district of western Nepal has taken the life of more than 157 people including 78 children and about 35000 families lost shelter and livelihood. These districts are in western mountains of Nepal where the winter has recently started. The affected families do not have proper houses, warm clothes and adequate meals. There is always a high risk of illegal child displacement and trafficking.
The project provides temporary housing, warm winter clothes and meal for 50 affected families. The families will be trained to protect their children from the risk of potential trafficking or illegal displacement.
The project will provide a pathway for the protection of 50 earthquake affected families, for their health, protection and wellbeing.
