Following the devastating earthquake in the Atlas Mountains in September 2023, many of you supported our Earthquake Recovery Appeal through GlobalGiving. Your generosity enabled us to respond quickly and provide practical support to the communities and girls connected to our programmes.
As recovery efforts have progressed and our immediate priorities have now been addressed, we have taken the decision to formally close the Earthquake Recovery Appeal on GlobalGiving. We wanted to share an update on what your support has helped make possible.
While the emergency phase of our response is coming to an end, our work supporting girls’ education in Morocco continues.
If you would like to continue supporting this mission, we warmly invite you to follow our long-standing GlobalGiving project: “Support Marginalised Girls’ Education in Morocco.”
Through this programme we continue our work in the Atlas Mountains while also expanding our reach to support disadvantaged girls from different backgrounds across Morocco, ensuring more young women have the opportunity to access education and build independent futures.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stood with these communities during such a difficult time. Your support has helped ensure that, even in the aftermath of disaster, girls were able to continue their education and look towards the future with hope.
