Thank you for supporting our work to build early childhood development centres in Uganda so that every child has the benefit of early learning.
We opened four new ECD centres in Uganda in early 2020, which brought us to 10 IREAD ECD Centres in the country. With another 11 IREAD schools in Northern Pakistan, IREAD expects an annual enrolment of 2,500 children. By the end of 2020, IREAD ECD Centres will have nourished the minds of 7,000 Ugandan and Pakistani children since its 2010 launch..
IREAD's ambitous plans include building 2 new ECD Centres in Pakistan in 2020, and 5 new ECD Centres in Uganda in 2021. By the end of 2023, we expect to have a total of 25 ECD Centres in Uganda and 15 in Pakistan. We are actively raising funds to build the centres and to support each community's village-led Centre Management Committees.
