Due to the period from january to march of 2020 coincided with Lunar New Year, Moreover, the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19 including Vietnam, the government prohibited crowd gathering and students must be absent from school. For those reasons, we have to delay temporarily all of the activities of project.
However, in this time, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and DynaGen Initiatives called for the proposals of “Initiavies for Community” with an aim to find out pioneering initiatives, brilliant ideas and creative projects. Such proposals will help to promoting the role and contribution of young generations to participation in community development activities and solve social problems.
After a time of calling, there were a number of proposals brought forward by students. However, only two of them were most excellent to be chosen and sponsored. Those are:
“Happiness Is Valuable” Initiative was to bring a warm, loving and sharing Tet to 70 children living with HIV/AIDS of The Drug-Detention Center 2-Hanoi. With activities, such as trays of fruit displaying competition, fashion designing competition and other activities.
Through this program, the children were much more confident and had a chance to overcome themselves. Besides, DynaGen students learnt how to share and empathize; devoted their youth meaningfully to charitable activities for the community.
Based on Strava application, “Run for Love” was an online charitable running program which was completely free for all students from nationwide universities. The project contributed 5000VN to each of kilometer run by the participants to support the elderly and the children at Social Protection Center 3-Hanoi. Furthermore, through this program, the organizer also wanted to promote the physical movement and improve community health.
Within only three days of launching, the program had mobilized 394 athletes participate in the running, with 3,680.04 kilometers running, and the amount of money exchanged was 18,402.052VN. In addition, the participants also donated 2,650,000VN. All the amount of money from the program was to support the elderly and the children at Social Protection Center 3-Hanoi.
The two intiatives were so meaningful and humanitarian that not only did they response enthusiastically to the month of the poor, but they also raised the young’s awareness in participating in community development activities.
