With the main goals are to assist students in improving social knowledge and occupational skills through a series of trainings and practical experiences, helping them to be more stable in their future career path. Besides, mobilizing diverse resources in society such as: government, enterprises, social organizations and individuals to work together for young generation, to promote sharing culture - the culture of contributing to the community and humanism. The DynaGen Initiative project started in February 2019 and was immediately introduced to thousands of students in various universities across Hanoi.
In March 2019, the project officially opened its online application. After two months, it received hundreds of applications from students.
We mobilized several firms, corporations, and other organizations to partner with the project such as TH Group, North Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Bac A Bank), ADT Group, VIJA Link, MSD Vietnam, Dai-ichi Life, DKT International. These entities will provide coaches, accommodate training facilities, recruit students of the project for internship, and open post-graduate employment opportunities. Additionally, we succeeded in mobilizing other individuals to participate in the Project’s Board of Coaches and Advisors.
From June to July 2019, The Professional Council of the project assessed and evaluated applications and set up interviews with student candidates. As a result, there were 48 outstanding students selected to partake in the project. 25 of them were categorized to be in disadvantaged conditions in terms of finance and family issues and each received 1 million scholarship per month for 10 consecutive months.
On September 7th, the project hosted a Orientation Conference in Hanoi to welcome 48 students who participate in the project, greet specialists and coaches, and discuss upcoming training activities.
A forum took place at the end of the conference to connect students with specialists, firms, future employers and other recruiters to share knowledge, skills, and employment opportunities.
In the next 3 months, we plan to organize 3 skill training courses for 48 students, listed specifically as below:
1. In October 2019: Training session on goal-setting skills, strategic thinking and planning skills, leadership and networking skills.
2. In November 2019: Seminar on labor market trends and career path.
3. In September 2019: Training session on resume writing skills, job interview skills, flexibility and adaptability skills, and relationship establishing skills.
In addition, students will participate in volunteer activities to spread the good in the community.
During the past period, we have received a donation of 10 USD from an individual from GlobalGiving, we would like to send our thanks to the generosity of the donor. To support students in difficult circumstances, we need to mobilize around 12000 USD (period 2020-2021). Therefore, we hope to receive further support from firms, corporation, entities, individuals, and especially donors via GlobalGiving.
