At CRUZ ROSA, we deeply value the trust you have placed in us through your generous support. Every dollar of your contribution has been allocated with care and responsibility to essential needs—ensuring that women undergoing cancer treatment receive comprehensive, dignified, and person-centered care, beginning with proper nutrition and extending to emotional and social support.
This work is carried out through Cruz Rosa’s Comprehensive Care Model for Women with Cancer, which ensures that no woman faces her diagnosis or treatment journey alone—especially those living in vulnerable conditions who must leave their communities to access specialized oncological care.
Community Context
CRUZ ROSA Guadalajara is a civil society organization with more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive support to women diagnosed with cancer and their families. Our care model addresses physical, emotional, social, and economic needs through four core pillars:
The women we serve primarily come from vulnerable communities across multiple states in Mexico. Many are required to travel to Guadalajara, Jalisco, to receive specialized cancer treatment in public and private hospitals. This displacement often leads to high out-of-pocket expenses, emotional exhaustion, social isolation, and a temporary loss of family and community support networks.
The Problem We Are Addressing
Cancer affects far more than physical health. It profoundly impacts emotional well-being, family dynamics, and economic stability. Women undergoing oncological treatment frequently experience high levels of stress, emotional fatigue, financial vulnerability, and social isolation—factors that significantly affect their recovery and quality of life.
Despite this reality, there are few initiatives in Mexico that integrate emotional health, nutritional support, and dignified social accompaniment throughout cancer treatment. Cruz Rosa responds to this gap through a proven, transparent, and compassionate care model that supports women at every stage of their oncological journey.
How Your Support Was Used
Thanks to donations made to the project “Ensuring Cancer Treatment for Women in Mexico,” including a total of $660.07 USD received in 2025, CRUZ ROSA was able to sustain essential services focused on nutrition and comprehensive care.
Your generosity allowed us to support 40 women currently staying at our shelter, all of whom are undergoing active cancer treatment.
For these women, Cruz Rosa represents strength, comfort, dignity, care, support, and hope during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Long-Term Impact
The impact of your support extends far beyond immediate assistance. It has provided moments of relief, renewed strength, emotional support, and dignity to women who face cancer every day. Proper nutrition and comprehensive care not only sustain their bodies—they also nurture emotional well-being and hope.
