Summary

A baby leg prosthesis that will allow a child to walk costs $60,000. Today you can make sure that you do not have to buy it. The brutal, bloody war and the violation of all the Geneva Conventions by the Russian army are strewing our lands with mines, shells and bodies of children who are no longer destined to grow up. Right now it is clear that the demining of Ukraine will take from 5 to 10 years, and during that time innocent people will die or become disabled every day. We can significantly re

Challenge

According to the UN, Ukraine is one of the most mined countries on the planet. One shot from the Uragan volley fire system strews the area of 60 football fields with mines, and every day such shots are firing over peaceful cities and villages. Now in Ukraine it is necessary to survey and clear an area the size of Italy - 300,000 km2. The world has not experienced a catastrophe of this magnitude since World War II, but today we can use modern technologies - with the help of drones to survey the t

Solution

Depending on the terrain, 1 trained drone operator can survey up to 1 km2 per day for mines and shells, surveying the same area by a team of sappers can take up to 1 week. The implementation of this project can speed up the work of sapper brigades by 4-7 times and significantly reduce the time for demining the territory of Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion, the territories that today need to be cleared were inhabited by about 5,000,000 people, of whom more than 1,000,000 were children.

Long-Term Impact

The work of drones and their operators will help to quickly clear the area where hostilities took place, this will save the lives and health of people who still remain in this area and will allow refugees to return to their homes. Inspection and demining of agricultural land will help, as early as next year, overcome food shortages and hunger in Countries that depend on wheat grown in Ukraine (Ukraine ranks 8th in the world in terms of the amount of exported grain).
