Fundraising for Potable Water

International Freedom Council continues to work on the programs: Health and Clean Water (HCW). The HCW program aims to install drinking water filtering plants and drill deep wells in schools and parishes facilities to deliver safe water for communities.

In the last quarter of 2023, IFC has directed all efforts in fundraising to provide the necessary funds to start 2 water projects that we have in the pipeline, these are:

1. Drinking water project for the Turgua area, Miranda state, around 2000 people will benefit in this vulnerable rural area. The project consists of 2 phases,

a. The drilling of a deep well.

b. The installation of a water bottle filling plant to provide drinking water to the community.

2. Drinking Water Project for Carapita, Capital District, around 2500 people will benefit in this vulnerable urban area. The project consists in the installation of a drinking water purification plant.

The results of the fundraising were successful, raising 80% of the resources needed to start these 2 projects from January 2024.

We are excited to have almost all the resources needed to create meaningful and measurable change in the next 6 months for these 2 communities in need.

These projects will have a measurable impact on the following aspects:

Quality of water for human consumption.
Amount of water available daily to families.
Number of households that will benefit.
Number of children benefited from receiving a daily meal prepared with the plant's drinking water.
Number of families benefited from receiving the support of daily lunches for their children.
Levels of community satisfaction due to the new drinking water supply.

The IFC water project is a model on improving the lives of children in Venezuela. It is a self-sustaining project that will provide clean water for the communities for many years to come. The project is also a testament to IFC's commitment on improving the quality of life of the most disadvantaged Venezuelan children and their families.
