FORMACION A MAESTROS
FORMACION A MAESTROS

¡Hola amigos!

Deseamos seguir contando contigo.

¡Choca esas manos!

¡Hello friends!

In Fundown Caribe, we are pleased with the donations received because through them we continue to facilitate training and guidance processes to break myths and misconceptions about people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities.

Teacher training is one of the strategies we have emphasized the most, in order to strengthen academic processes that allow the permanence, progress and promotion of people with intellectual disabilities in educational institutions. With these spaces, more than 250 teachers have been reached during this quarter. Some of the topics addressed are: Universal Design for Learning, Individual Plan of Reasonable Adjustments, Easy Reading among others.

Family accompaniment continues to be a task that allows us to guarantee the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, from here we route the caregivers or refer them to allies in the control and surveillance agencies in the different territorial entities, after personalized counseling. The rights in which most advocacy has been done are: inclusive education, health, decision making, freedom of sexuality, among others. We accompanied more than 30 families in this quarter, guaranteeing their full inclusion and participation in society.

One of the strategies is to guide companies for the employment of people with disabilities, who through personalized counseling and with the support of the District execute actions aimed at the development of this work.

Finally, our commitment continues to be focused on reaching more families, educators, employers and civil society so that people with disabilities are recognized as subjects of rights, valuing their abilities and contributions to society.

We want to continue counting on you.

High-five those hands!
