Mangrove Museum & Learning Centre locally called BADAPATH. Badapath is conceived as the first cultural centre in Bangladesh dedicated to mangrove life, placing culture, storytelling, and spatial experience at the heart of environmental education. We have already constructed the structure of the centre and but we need support to work on exhibition, education materials such as introduces mangroves as ecological infrastructure, cultural landscapes, and living systems.
There is a no sufficient space, educational institute or centre near by the World single largest Mangrove forest to learn about the Sundarbans mangrove ecology and culture. So, considering this reality we have taken this initiative to construct the Mangrove Museum and Learning Centre-BADFAPATH to learn about the Sundarbans mangrove ecology and culture.
Through this proposed project, support will be provided to the affected people to meet up their fundamental needs (food, cloth, safety kits etc) beside their rehabilitation (house repairing, seed for agriculture, fishing net and boat). With our support the affected people will settle down and again start their work towards livelihood. This project will not only provide the affected people with emergency support, but also help them to begin their life again with new energy and enthusiasm.
This proposed project will help the affected people to return in their regular life, without getting depressed. As the coastal people are key stakeholders of nature conservation, this project will help us to conserve the nature together with local people. If they are not supported, antisocial activities may increase in society and massive destruction of natural resource may occur by the affected community. So, this project will establish peaceful co-existence between humans and nature.
