Lizeth in her therapies
Lizeth in her therapies

Dear Patronato's friend,

I hope you are healthy and safe.

Today, I want to share with you the story of Lizeth, one of the beneficiaries of your generous donation.  Lizeth is 2 years old and lives with her auntie near Medellín, Colombia. She was diagnosed with developmental delay.

Lizeth was born into a family with very low economic resources near the Pacific coast of Colombia, a place where she could not access many health services due to the lack of medical personnel and medical infrastructure that she needs for the control and treatment of her case; she is part of the Government subsidized healthcare because his family has a very low income (verified by our Foundation), for this reason, she moved to live in Medellín - Colombia with her maternal aunt and received support from our foundation since May 2021. As lizeth, her brother was diagnosed with developmental delay too.

Developmental delay may be caused by a variety of factors, including heredity, complications during pregnancy, and premature birth. The cause isn’t always known. Delay in reaching language, thinking, social, or motor skills milestones is called developmental delay.

Due to her health status, Lizeth receives specialized consultations in pediatric neurology, examinations such as magnetic resonance imaging and encephalograms, physical therapy and occupational therapy at our foundation. She will continue in treatment throughout the year and will be able to contribute to the improvement of your physical and mental health.

I thank you on behalf of the Foundation for the valuable support that benefits our families.

Best regards.

Santiago
Santiago

Dear Patronato's friend,

I hope you are healthy and safe.

Today, I want to share with you the story of Santiago, one of the beneficiaries of your generous donation. Santiago is 12 years old and lives with his parents near Medellín, Colombia. He was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and global psychomotor retardation, which is the manifestation of pathologies of the central nervous system generated by genetic-environmental disorders and that affects normal psychomotor development.

Your donation helps to mantain the functioning of our integral rehabilitation program, which Santiago belongs to since 2015. In the program, Santiago has received comprehensive rehabilitation and is supported with care at home, early stimulation, motor skills, visual arts, pedagogical initiation, self-care, story time, young leaders and life skills so that he can have a productive and happy life later on as much as possible...he is also part of the sports club and plays tennis table, which he loves.

Thanks in large part to your bigheartedness, Santiago can be in our Program, in which he has managed to strengthen his autonomy and functionality in his daily life. He even helps in the kitchen with the preparation of food, and can prepare simple recipes with the supervision of his parents...for so many of us something as simple as cooking is vital for Santiago to strengthen his physical and motor skills and emotional stability.

I thank you on behalf of the Foundation and I wish that your good deed is returned in spades!

Greetings and have a great day,

Natalia

Beautiful Jhoan
Beautiful Jhoan

Dear friend of Patronato Foundation,

I hope both you and your family and friends are healthy and well.

In this report, we want to share with you the progress of Jhoan, one of the children who benefited from the wonderful donation you made to this project. Jhoan is 2 years old, lives with his parents and brothers in a rural area near the city of Medellín, in Colombia. Jhoan is a happy boy, he likes to paint and play with toy cars and balls.

From an early age Jhoan requires frequent medical attention because he has metabolism disorders, developmental disorders, and abnormal weight loss. He is part of the Government subsidized healthcare because his family has a very low income (verified by home visits by our Foundation).

Because he is in this subsidized regime, and because his diagnosis is so complex, the Government healthcare did not give him the therapies and services he needed, and for this he was referred by an allied foundation. Metabolism disorders make Jhoan feel constantly tired, nauseated, without appetite, with convulsions; all of this hinders all the activities that Jhoan likes to do, like painting.

Thanks to your kindness, the Patronato Foundation supports Jhoan with specialized consultations on endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, pulmonology, neurology, nutrition, ophthalmology, pediatrics, psychology, and laboratory tests.

Thanks to your compassion, Jhoan's quality of life has improved noticeably, his diagnoses have been clearer and due to this, follow-up measures have been taken with specialists so that his treatments are more constant and timely. Thanks to you, Jhoan has gained weight, and is already a more energetic kid and already plays more with his toys.

Eternally grateful,

Natalia

Eternamente agradecida,

Natalia
