Greiber
Greiber

Ana, says that when her son Greiber was born and as the days went by, she began to notice that he was not developing as babies usually do, it was difficult for him to move, raise his head and general muscle weakness, after several exams and visits regular visits to specialists Greiber was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and seizures, which cause a series of disorders that affect movement, balance and posture.

This condition prevents Greiber from speaking, walking, and performing daily activities, for which he requires continuous therapy and treatment to improve his quality of life. For this reason, Ana and her family migrated to Colombia from Venezuela in search of better health opportunities for him.

At the age of 9 and based in the municipality of Medellín in Colombia, through an institution, Greiber entered the Fundación Patronato and since then it has been possible to continue with his treatment and receive specialized consultations in pediatric neurology, endocrinology, physical therapy, orthopedics, occupational therapy, speech therapy and purchasing a wheelchair that has made getting around easier for his mother and family.

Thanks to this support and comprehensive care, Greiber has shown great progress in her treatments, she looks happier and a smile appears on her face when she listens to music, plays educational games in bright colors and caress her pet.

At the Fundación Patronato we celebrate Greiber progress and we believe that his treatment will provide him with great advances to lead a more independent life. With your help we can continue to support Greiber in his therapies and together change the life of a Venezuelan family in search of better opportunities.

Valery
Valery

Dear donor friend.

Today we want you to meet Valery and the positive impacts that his treatment has had to improve his quality of life, this in part, thanks to your contribution.

Valery, 14 years old, born in Venezuela, likes basketball and handicrafts, arrived with his family 3 years ago to the city of Medellín in Colombia, looking like many people for a better quality of life. It was not easy for Valery to adapt to a new reality and all that implies to know new cultures and new people, to this Valery adds having to adapt to new processes for his diagnosis of bilateral sensorineural hearing loss that has caused a loss of hearing.

Since she entered the integral rehabilitation program one year ago, the Fundación Patronato has supported her in speech and occupational therapy, as well as stimulation in the different dimensions of development, work in auditory, linguistic and communicative skills. All this has allowed Valery a better inclusion and significant advances in her verbal, comprehension and communication skills.

Valery's progress encourages us to continue working to improve his health conditions. Today we want to thank you for making it possible through your donations to continue improving the quality of life of many children and adolescents.

Donor friend, receive a warm greeting of thanks.

Today I want to thank all the people who have made it possible, through the Fundación Patronato, for many migrant children like me to receive appropriate treatment for their health conditions.

I am Sfrayder, I am 8 years old and I have lived with my parents, uncles and cousins for 5 years in the city of Medellin, Colombia. It has not been easy for my parents to continue with the appropriate treatment for my diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss, due to economic conditions. and access to health services for the migrant population.

This condition prevents me from communicating and socializing, which is why I require exams, specialized consultations and periodic audiological evaluation, in addition to comprehensive rehabilitation and school inclusion accompaniment, all this allows me to carry out activities according to a child of my age and ride a bicycle, which is one of my favorite hobbies.

This treatment and accompaniment has been possible thanks to the fact that Fundación Patronato, through donors like you, can provide better health opportunities for all boys and girls in general.

I thank you for your important donation and for what, through it, changes in the lives of many children and adolescents who require treatment to improve their health.

Gabriel
Gabriel

Through this letter we want to send a cordial greeting and convey a message of gratitude for the support received for Gabriel. The help received from people like you is of vital importance for many migrant children and adolescents who do not have access to health services.

We are pleased to tell the story of Gabriel, a 13-year-old teenager who arrived in our city Medellin in Colombia, accompanied by his mother and grandmother; He was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, which is a pathology that occurs in both ears causing hearing loss, which prevents him from following conversations, capturing other people's ideas, not perceiving high-pitched sounds, among other aspects.

Since he was a child, Gabriel has used hearing aids that allow him to amplify the sound and hear better, these require constant care and adjustments that must be carried out by specialized professionals in the area, which are expensive considering the family situation they live in. a city unknown to his family.

From the Fundación Patronato we have supported Gabriel with specialized consultations, exams and improving his quality of life through the acquisition of supplies that his hearing aids require on a regular basis. This has allowed Gabriel to improve his hearing and speech, in addition to multiple benefits in the school, relational and family areas.

Every donation makes a difference. Together we can make a significant difference in the lives of many migrant children and adolescents.
