Daily Therapy ensures impact among child with Down

1. Project Overview

The project aims to provide free rehabilitation services to children with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities from underserved communities in Sindh. Services include physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, and remedial education to enhance functional independence and social inclusion.

2. Key Achievements

Total Children Benefited: 120+ children with Down syndrome and related intellectual disabilities
Therapy Sessions Delivered: 2,500+ sessions (physiotherapy, speech, occupational therapy)
New Enrollments: 35 children registered during the reporting period
Parental Counseling Sessions: 60+ sessions conducted to support caregivers
Assistive Support: 25 children received assistive devices and learning materials

3. Activities Implemented

Daily therapy sessions conducted at NDF rehabilitation centers
Individualized therapy plans (ITPs) developed for each child
Speech and communication development programs implemented
Parent training sessions on home-based care and early stimulation
Awareness sessions conducted to reduce stigma around Down syndrome
Regular monitoring and progress assessments of each child
