NDF develops capacity of office bearers of Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) for the protection of disability rights. It is unfortunate that the organizations working for the rights of people with disabilities but lack adequate capacity and resources to help their target groups. The DPOs are weak in decision making, exploring, identifying, utilizing and mobilizing local resources. NDF will develop DPO's capacity through training & sub-grants to implement social action projects.
It is unfortunate that the organizations working for the rights of people with disabilities lack adequate capacity and resources to help their target groups. Scores of organizations exists in Sindh, Pakistan but due to their incapacity to face the routine challenges, they are weak in decision making, exploring, identifying, utilizing and mobilizing local resources. The targeted organizations have no know-how about disability charters, local & International disability laws.
There is dire need to empower Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) through training in institutional Development (Regular Record Keeping, regular business run), Exploring funds for core cost & projects. NDF will raise funds through this project will be provide required training & sub-grants to implement small scaled Social Action Project (SAP) to engage them properly in learning by doing activities, funds exploring & utilization with reports & record keeping.
The potential Long-Term Impact will be that Disabled People Organizations will be enabled to run regular business, record keeping, report writing, profiling of organization, links developments. funds exploring & utilization through small scaled social action projects in their vicinity. If said organizations succeeded to implement small sub-grants then they will attract other donors to develop future partnerships, in this way the DPOs will be empowered to deliver for the benefits of target group
