The changes continue
During the closing of the school year in June of this year, one of our dear students finished elementary school. The family decided to take him to start his high school in an inclusive school. We are proud to know that our student will face challenges that we know will show great achievements. We extend recognition to his parents for the support they have always shown as a family. We include in this report a link to the final work that our student presented and the video that his teachers sent for his graduation online.
Start of the 2021 and 2021 school year
The school year began with the hybrid format, that is, some students attend school and others take their face-to-face classes. Two multigrade groups were formed that allow for a more efficient work role in this combination of face-to-face and virtual. Conductive Education routines and exercises are carried out at school, so the time came when families brought back to the facilities the equipment and furniture that was loaned to facilitate CE routines at home.
All School personnel have been vaccinated against COVID 19, families have also entered the vaccination scheme. Students over 18 years of age are covering their vaccination schedule and some other students have sought the vaccine at a time when government institutions have called for vaccination for people with disabilities. A health filter was structured and an infographic has been released with all the actions that are necessary for us to continue with the care required by the COVID 19 epidemic.
Thus, the School of Conducted Education continues. With academic programs following the school calendar, civic festivities have been held in September to remember the value of our independence as a nation, in October to commemorate the importance of multiculturalism. We try that the integration to the new routines benefit the mood of the students. Because as humans, those who come face-to-face feel happy and afraid. Those who stay virtual would like to go out.
As part of the linking activities we have prepared a series of conferences in the format of a virtual Forum on FB Live as part of the activities resulting from our participation in the State Council for Disability Care coordinated by the Government of the State of Morelos.
In the new adaptation process in which we can discover the enormous advantages of any system that we have at hand, because the most important thing is the Will to learn and to give meaning to life, to achieve happiness.
This was mentioned by the students when talking about their rights in a video that they prepared to broadcast on World Cerebral Palsy Day. The students in the foreground, that in the way that we consider most pertinent to be able to make our postulates as a school a reality regarding social inclusion. Thank you for thinking differently, for thinking Con Nosotros!

Consistency is the key to achieving meaningful achievements. In this school year in which the vast majority of students in the world have taken virtual classes, the same perseverance has become a greater challenge, seeing ourselves deprived of what we were used to.
This report relates the continuity process from January to June 2021 and closes a school year at the School of Conducted Education of Con Nosotros. Here we will narrate how perseverance brought us all achievements that are worth sharing.
Our students, who are children living with cerebral palsy as a condition, have learned to use technology to communicate and do their school work.
In this school year, the students were accompanied by their families and we used technology to continue with their movement-enabling routines in virtual programs. These virtual programs of Conducted Education were designed and directed by the teachers of the school via remote control and the family members became the facilitators of this exercise to strengthen the movement. Children are growing and require each time a different and more complex support, due to its novelty. It is a success to have avoided extreme sedentarization by abandoning the progress made in recent years. It is a success to finish a school year in which you can refer to academic progress.
It is worth highlighting the great collaborative work carried out by the Con Nosotros team during Little by Little's fundraising campaign in March 2021. The activities that we carry out in the school were screened all week on Facebook live, inviting people to donate in GlobalGiving platform. Thank you very much for your donations.
In April the Secretary of Public Education authorized the partial opening of schools for the last school term: April, May and June. Following this parameter, the academic team designed a hybrid program in which face-to-face and virtual activities would be carried out. The students were divided into two groups. The face-to-face activities were planned as recreational activities and are carried out once a week: group A comes on Monday, preschool and primary school students; Group B attends on Tuesday, high school students. Only five students make up these groups since, as it is an optional activity, not all took this opportunity. The aim of this one-day-a-week school activity is to promote and improve the attitude and mood of the school members.
We all want your presence, greeting and joint work. We install a sanitary filter and all students are accompanied by a family member, as the activities include swimming and yoga. The team of teachers is also small, and it was agreed that it should be only fifty percent. We have all enjoyed it immensely!
This playful day includes an activity for families, either for coexistence or workshops for learning some techniques to facilitate the inclusion of their infants in the activities of daily life. This strengthens the integration and participation achieved virtually. It's fantastic!
In addition to these face-to-face recreational activities, the following days of the week continue with the academic programs virtually at home. There are only three weeks left until the end of the school year and we are preparing the primary graduation of a student who has been in school since childhood. And a little student finishes his cycle in preschool. Life is satisfying when constancy is motivated by will.
I would call the School of Conducted Education the School of the Will in motion. Thanks to the efforts of teachers, students, administrators, volunteers, advisors. Thanks to all of your solidarity donors. Thank you for thinking differently, for thinking Con Nosotros!

There was a time when society acted as if it had the right to abandon, forget, deny and look pitying at people with cerebral palsy. Nonconforming, as a society we seek humanity among ourselves. Since its inception in 2001, the School of Conducted Education has maintained a task to contact, accompany, monitor learning and educational routines for children and youth with Cerebral Palsy. During the pandemic, the school's priority was for students at the ConNosotros Educational Center to continue in activities that strengthen them for their processes of motor, cognitive, and social physical development. During confinement, students with cerebral palsy at our school have gained from being present in life, despite the disability they live in. We made every effort to ensure that everyone had an instrument of connectivity and access to data to prepare for their zoom sessions, remote connectivity to continue the school. We resort to tablet loans, data purchases, direct advice to families, assembly of special furniture for education conducted for each child in their home, activities where with due precautions, they were carried out by the team of teachers. Some families got support from neighbors, family, and friends to connect, getting tablets, laptops, or cell phones on loans. Two teachers visited families who struggled to open sessions, place the device, operate the microphone and zoom room camera, among other situations, as remote connectivity requires necessary technical knowledge that is sometimes very new knowledge for many adults (students and family members) at school. On the other hand, with the necessary permanence and presence of relatives we have achieved that the formation of families and connectivity for 95% of students. We still have two families who, due to work schedule issues, have found it difficult to maintain their children's connection and we are looking for a possible way. The School of ConNosotros carried out a very important event assigning to the loan to each family a set of furniture and special instruments to carry out the routines of education conducted Furniture Peto. This fact allowed us to achieve the following achievement: families have been intensely involved in facilitating the learning of targeted education, a very specific model of work. The Association Council also made a financial effort, because free-zoom sessions only last an hour and families had to re-enter, causing chaos. The Council of the association decided to acquire a zoom domain for ConNosotros and all the inherent activities. The sessions are now two to three hours a day. All students gather in the zoom portal, recognizing themselves as school members and the teacher who manages divides groups by school grades. Each teacher works and then joint activities are carried out. A new way of living together has begun. It is important to note that we are a civil association that maintains contact with government authorities for special education in the state of Morelos. And at the last meeting we realized that we are the only school that has daily sessions with its students, talking about students who follow special education programs. 2020 has been declared a year of great challenges. Acts of presence. Because of the social estinement we have not managed to carry out extracurricular activities. However, imagination and the desire to open the world to new perspectives through Education Conducted do not stop. We program and carry out a series of weekly Webinars in which we invite specialists, participated the teachers, students and friends of Con Nosotros, analyzing various processes in which the association has participated: art, theater, inclusive education, all as part of the model of Education Conducted as axis. These webinars were conducted via Zoom and broadcast on Facebook Live, thus making an appearance at the commemorations of World Disability Day and World Cerebral Palsy Day. We participated in the December Giving Tuesday donation campaign, which allowed the team to join on a day of constant presence through social media. With a program of activities teachers, students and friends of Con Nosotros, we were present encouraging to make donations through social networks. Donations came slowly, but it was exciting to admire the coordinated work and will that everyone added up to. We also perform the raffle of a TV Screen to get resources. The School needs everyone's support to continue. In Con Nosotros, A.C., many efforts have been made to ensure that the word learning takes on new and very satisfactory dimensions. Thank you for thinking differently, for thinking ConNosotros!
March started with the necessary preparations to promote the online “Little by Little” donation campaign. We made calls to explain the mechanism and contacted all donors. We had our first COVID case at the beginning of social distancing in Mexico, March 17. Fortunately, this writer experienced moderate symptoms of fever and cough, without hospitalization. For this reason, the team working throughout the association worked tirelessly on the “Little by Little” campaign. It was a confusing stage for everyone, as a quarantine imposed a suspense that no one expected. We did not have financial success, but in return we had the joy of knowing that we were a communicated team and with great will to continue despite this situation.
Proposals to follow up on students in social distance began to emerge. Efforts were made so that everyone, teachers and students, had the necessary connectivity. Some laptop computers of the association were assigned to shelter in their homes, since some students and some teachers do not have their own computer equipment.
During a hundred days of quarantine, students have received their classes remotely. In constant communication they were organized in two ways for follow-up: a weekly program of video meetings by group or class; and on the other hand, each teacher was also responsible for two or three students for day-to-day follow-up, with personalized messages, calls or video meetings. With education programs conducted at home, the movement's enabling exercises and academic homework plans were assigned in a personal way according to their grade level with the curricular adaptation, based on the needs of each student.
The academic group, meanwhile, have held daily meetings and constant work to delve into the model of care in special education. Carrying out readings and collective analysis of novel texts, reworking their monitoring instruments for students (Adapted Curriculum Programs and the Psychopedagogical Reports of each student) They have attended conferences on multiple topics: inclusion, human rights, special education, disability, neuroscience. Proof of the professional responsibility of our team of teachers!
Latest News We had our two student graduation event! One from Preschool and one from Primary. A beautiful event for a great job.
This work has kept enough spirits for connectivity. However, the emotional footprint is noticeable in the students, who yearn to return to their workspaces. Our sharing was intense. The team of teachers is concerned that while activities are performed at home, the movement enablement process will either roll back or slow down. It is noted that the students are losing skills that they had already achieved. Despite the efforts of the accompanying family members, their own emotions and financial difficulties weigh too heavily and much energy is required for the work of the conducted education. The wills of people with cerebral palsy require environments that strengthen that will. This is a time of great trial for everyone, the more so for this vulnerable childhood.
Concern grows and we see an adverse picture. We had a guitar concert in May for the “Ensamble Scherzino”. As well as a "Paella contest". Both events had to be canceled which has meant a strong blow to the sustainability of the association. Will the School remain open in the return of this pandemic?
At the Educational Center With Us, we have the necessary authorization to use photos and names of the students. Even so, we never use their last names in public documents. Thank you very much!
