ARGOS, Dog therapy for children with disability

Challenge

Many children with disabilities are unfortunately sequestered by their families, and this also impedes their comprehensive development and favors their delay in various areas of their lives. The need to provide comprehensive care to children becomes a challenge for the professional team and Argos, serving, visiting the children, and traveling to various places to reach the required care for Argos and an expense for attention to the participants.

Solution

Many children have considerably improved their condition due to the care they receive from ARGOS; however, there is still much work to be done, and many more children to support. Currently, the costs to provide these therapies are high and there are not enough resources to be able to continue with the work, these resources are necessary to make payments for ARGOS food, veterinary costs, transportation and the assistant person in charge of the job with ARGOS.

Long-Term Impact

Through the intervention of assisted therapy with ARGOS, the participants feel the activities less and less heavy and challenging to do, through the dog, he carries out the exercises and finishes them transmits security to the children and motivates them to do them, also influencing their emotions and creating a bond of trust that favors good results and the viability of the project.
