Summary

Sudan faces a severe humanitarian crisis, with El Fasher, North Darfur among the hardest hit. Since April 2023, RSF attacks have displaced thousands and caused extreme hunger, child malnutrition, and lack of clean water. Drone strikes and ground assaults have destroyed infrastructure, blocked aid, and cut off communication. This project seeks to raise awareness, deliver urgent aid, and restore basic services. Immediate action is vital to save lives and bring hope.

Challenge

Sudan is facing a catastrophic crisis, with El Fasher and North Darfur among the worst hit. Since April 2023, RSF attacks have displaced thousands and triggered famine. Civilians face starvation, unsafe water, and collapsed services. In Zamzam Camp, families survive on animal fodder. Schools are closed, healthcare destroyed, and malnutrition is widespread. Conflict, poverty, and climate change continue to devastate lives and livelihoods.

Solution

Darfur Women Network (DWN) responds with immediate relief, recovery support, and long-term resilience. We empower women and youth through cooperative farming, entrepreneurship, skills training, and education. Projects like our soap-making incubator help build income and confidence. Even amid conflict, our local teams act with courage. With partners like GlobalGiving, we restore not just lives-but hope and dignity.

Long-Term Impact

This project delivers immediate relief while building long-term food security, resilience, and self-sufficiency for displaced families in Sudan. With stable nourishment, children grow healthier, families rebuild, and communities move toward lasting stability. Food today means a stronger, more independent future.
