The lack of fundraising success has kept the "Disability Project Nepal" by the Nepal Village Foundation (NVF) UK in a pre-implementation standstill. Because the foundation relies entirely on reaching specific crowdfunding targets to trigger field operations, having zero working capital means that no physical resources, staff deployment, or logistics have commenced in the Mahadewa Rural Municipality of the Saptari District. While local volunteers have completed baseline mapping to identify the profiles and locations of the 700 intended disabled beneficiaries, actual field interventions—such as procuring assistive tech, hosting livelihood workshops, and coordinating municipal health advocacy—remain entirely frozen. Consequently, these vulnerable individuals continue to endure severe isolation, deep-rooted discrimination, and a complete absence of physical and social protections without any immediate timeline for relief.
