The project aims to empower 500 individuals with severe disabilities in Pakistan through a comprehensive program that focuses on providing independent living skills and support services. Currently most of them confined to their homes, facing isolation and neglect, as their families perceive them as burdens and often do not provide the care and attention they need. Our initiative seeks to break this cycle of isolation and neglect by offering a two-fold approach (Attendant Service & IL Trainings).
The problem outlined in this project is the severe neglect and isolation experienced by person with disabilities in Pakistan. Many of these person with disabilities are confined to their homes, facing neglect, and enduring a sense of abandonment. Their families often view them as burdens and do not provide them with the care and support they need. This neglect and isolation result in psychological trauma and a lack of independent living skills among these individuals.
The problem is being addressed through a comprehensive support initiative that includes attendant services, independent living and capacity-building training. The primary goal is to enhance the overall quality of life for person with disabilities, promoting greater independence while challenging the stigma associated with disabilities. The project's aim is to empower these persons to take control of their lives, fostering dignity and autonomy as they become active participants in society.
By investing in the well-being and empowerment of persons with disabilities, our initiative has the potential to create lasting and positive changes not only for person with disabilities but also for the entire community. It contributes to a more inclusive, equitable, and compassionate society where all person with disabilities have the opportunity to live with dignity and autonomy. This commitment to change is a significant step toward a brighter and more inclusive future.
