Summary

Menstrual hygiene management is a pressing issue in our community, with many school-going girls lacking access to affordable and hygienic menstrual products. This hinders their ability to attend school and participate in other social and economic activities. School girls who cannot afford sanitary pads are forced to use unsanitary alternatives, such as cloths, which exposes them to infections and health risks. The aim is to END PERIOD POVERTY.

Challenge

The primary beneficiaries of this project will be school-going girls aged between 12-19 years as well as women in rural communities. Our focus will be on the most vulnerable girls who come from low-income families and cannot afford to buy sanitary pads.

Solution

Providing school girls and women in our community with sanitary pads is crucial to their education and personal development. This project is an opportunity to improve the lives of vulnerable school girls and has the potential to reduce school dropouts and improve academic performance. We urge you to support this initiative to empower girls and promote equality in our community.

Long-Term Impact

To ensure sustainability, the project team will work with relevant stakeholders to develop a long-term plan for maintaining the supply of sanitary pads to school-going girls as well as women in our community. This will involve advocating for policy changes and partnerships with local businesses to provide regular donations of sanitary pads to schools and the community.
