Digital Skills Hub for Rural Youth in Uganda

Thank you for your continued support in empowering rural youth through digital skills development. In many underserved communities, young people face limited access to technology, training, and opportunities needed to participate in today’s digital economy. This gap continues to widen inequalities and restrict their future potential.

Through this project, we are equipping rural youth with essential digital skills such as basic computer literacy, internet use, online communication, and practical tools for education and employment. During this reporting period, we conducted hands-on training sessions that enabled young people to confidently use digital devices, access online learning resources, and explore income-generating opportunities.

Participants are already applying their new skills in meaningful ways—some are supporting local businesses with basic digital tasks, while others are using online platforms to continue learning and connect with wider opportunities. One participant shared how learning computer skills has opened their confidence and given them hope for employment.

In addition to training, we are working to create safe and accessible learning spaces equipped with computers and internet access, ensuring that youth can continue practicing and growing their skills beyond the classroom.
