Since our last update, eSTEM Morocco has continued to expand the Digital Houses initiative, bringing safe and inclusive digital learning spaces closer to girls in underserved communities across Morocco.
We are proud to share that our network is now preparing to reach an important milestone: the opening of two new Digital Houses in Laâyoune and Dakhla, in the southern regions of Morocco. Once these two centers are operational, our network will have a presence across all 12 regions of Morocco, strengthening our commitment to ensuring that geography is not a barrier to digital education.
These two upcoming Digital Houses will create new opportunities for girls in communities where access to technology, digital learning, and STEM opportunities can be limited. They will provide welcoming spaces where girls can access computers and digital tools, participate in hands-on learning activities, develop new skills, and connect with mentors and role models.
The expansion to Laâyoune and Dakhla is particularly meaningful for our mission. It represents more than adding two new locations to our network: it means bringing the Digital Houses model to the far south of Morocco and making our programs accessible to girls across the country's diverse geographic regions.
Each Digital House is designed as more than a classroom. It is a safe space for learning, exploration, creativity, and personal growth, where girls can build confidence while developing skills in digital literacy, STEM, coding, robotics, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
For some girls, the Digital House can be their first opportunity to regularly use a computer or explore technology in a supportive learning environment. For others, it can be the place where they discover an interest in coding, develop an entrepreneurial idea, meet a mentor, or begin imagining a future career in technology.
With the upcoming openings in Laâyoune and Dakhla, eSTEM Morocco is taking another important step toward our vision of making digital education accessible to girls regardless of where they live in Morocco.
