This funding will help equip 5 Digital Houses in villages around Beni-Mellal, Dakhla, Oujda, Tangiers, Laayoune. These community hubs, equipped with laptops from eSTEM Morocco and managed by local NGOs, provide safe spaces where 100 girls annually learn coding, entrepreneurship, and leadership through mentorship programs on our digital platform TITRIT. Join the movement and be part of the Change for hundreds of girls like Ikram (see videos)!
Did you know that 41.56% of girls from rural Morocco drop out of school due to barriers like long commutes, early marriage and limited technology access? Ikram, from Oumjniba in the Atlas Mountains, like all girls in vulnerable areas dreams of exploring the world but faces these barriers. With no computers at her school and no internet access, her opportunities for learning and growth are limited, leaving her potential untapped and her future uncertain.
This project empowers local associations to create supportive spaces that expand educational opportunities for girls, fostering digital literacy and inclusivity in underserved communities. Digital Houses promote gender parity by equipping centers with laptops and essential resources, ensuring equal access to digital tools. In 2024, 14 Digital Houses were equipped, allowing girls to access the Titritapp.com platform and gain skills to drive positive change in their communities.
The Digital Houses project fosters digital inclusion in marginalized Moroccan regions, equipping thousands of girls with essential skills and confidence for education and careers. By strengthening girls' presence in technology, it supports gender equality and empowers young leaders to address social and economic challenges. These hubs inspire systemic change, promoting a more inclusive society where girls have equal access to learning and development opportunities.
