Thank you for your support to Digital empowerment of Marginalised children. We bring great news with this report.
Even though children (formerly child labour or drop outs) are going back to school, in the critical regions that CRY works in, there still lies a huge gap between them and their privileged counterparts in terms of learning opportunities. Most children in these regions have no access to technology, they are far behind and there is dire need for inducting them into digital age by exposing them to technology for the purpose of bettering their future prospects.
Digital Empowerment of Marginalised Children as a project was initiated last year and we started to reach out to donors like you. As this is a multi phased project and with support from generous donors like you we have been able to kickstart the project.
Currently, our IT division is taking up many measures to ensure that our grassroots partners get familiar to technology, processes and databases they'll need to handle for implementation of the project. So that there is right paced introduction of technology to all stakeholders involved. Oracle has partnered with CRY and awarded a grant as well for developing and implementation of Result Based Monitoring Systems. In the last year, this also helped us in purchase of 50 computers. This implementation will help measure change and demonstrate the impact of programs from the baseline levels by being accountable to children and communities on one hand and thereby informing the government/donor group about everlasting changes made by the projects.
We are thankful for your donation, as it has helped us that much to go forward with the project and instilled a hope in us that your continued support will help us succeed.
Faithfully Yours,
Prithvi
