Training session in Kabul for 10 businesswomen

The Made by Afghan Women online sales platform infrastructure is built and now the training sessions on e-commerce and how to create vendor profiles or digital shops have started. The first session for 10 businesswomen took place in Kabul and the second session took place in Mazar province. On July 14th aand July 19th, 2022 respectively. These training sessions are part fot the process to connect 100 women to this online platform and help them conduct business digitally. The focus of the sessions are on e-commerce  and how to create vendor profile on this Made by Afghan Women online sales platform. Globlagiving and the donors through this great giving platform has been vital in helping us get closer to our vision of having Afghan women entrepeneurs do business digitally world-wide which is needed now more than any other time. We need more resources to be able to cover training and enabling 100 women to this platform and create the supply chain for it so we hope you continue donating and supporting us.

On March 5th 2022, Afghanistan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI) held an event to mark the International Women's Month by bringing over 100 participants including Afghan busineswomen from more than 15 provinces of the country.

The event was the 4th National Women's Entrepreneurship Summit and the 7th Bibi Khadija Annual Award. The speakers of the event were Ms. Afsana Rahimi Chaiperson of AWCCI, Ms. Rina Amiri, US special envoy to Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights, Mr. Abdallah, Resident Representative UNPD Afghanistan and Mr. AbdulWahab Alkebsi, Managing Director, Program for Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). All of the speakers emphasized the importance of Afghan businesswomen’s role to the well-being and the economic development of Afghanistan. In this event one honorary award and 10 competitive awards were presented.

As part of the Summit's agenda the Made by Afghan Women's Online Sales platform was launched. The platform's construction started in January 2022 and will be completed end of March 2022. Women business owners will be trained to start the use of the online sales during the months from April 2022 onward.

AWCCI is grateful to all its supporters and needs further support for this long-term initiative.
