Diagnosis with No Cure
Quarterly Donor Report
April – July 2026
Every Child Deserves Hope
A cancer diagnosis changes a child's life in an instant. Hospital rooms replace playgrounds, and families face emotional and financial challenges that no parent should endure.
During this quarter, the Iraqi Children's Hope (ICHOPE) team continued visiting children receiving treatment at the Children's Cancer Center in Basra. Although our resources for this project are still limited, we remained committed to bringing comfort, encouragement, and hope to every child we were able to reach.

Bringing Comfort Beyond Medical Care
While doctors provide treatment, we focus on caring for the child and supporting the family. Throughout this quarter, our volunteers spent time with children, listened to parents, and reminded every family that they are not facing this journey alone.
Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to:
• Visit children undergoing cancer treatment.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Deliver food assistance to families facing financial hardship.
• Distribute small gifts that brought smiles during difficult days.
Every visit was a reminder that kindness can make a meaningful difference.

The Need Continues
The children we serve come from some of the most vulnerable and financially disadvantaged families in southern Iraq. Many were already living in poverty before cancer entered their lives. When a child is diagnosed, parents often stop working to remain at the hospital, leaving the family with little or no income. The costs of transportation, food, medications, and daily living quickly become overwhelming.
For these families, our support is more than a helping hand; it is a source of hope during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Unfortunately, the need continues to exceed our available resources, and many vulnerable families are still waiting for assistance. These families still require support that we are unable to provide without additional funding.

Looking Forward
Our goal is to expand the Healing Hearts Program so that more children and families will receive the care they deserve. With your continued support, we hope to provide greater assistance including emergency food aid, transportation support, comfort items for children, and ongoing family assistance.

Thank You
Your generosity brings more than financial support; it brings hope.
Every smile in these photographs is a reminder that compassion has the power to brighten even the hardest days.
On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for helping us stand beside them in their fight against cancer.
Together, we are bringing hope, one child at a time.
