Dear Friends of Dharamsala Animal Rescue,
Stray animal rescue is one of the main focuses of our work here in Dharamsala. As you know, thousands of animals live on the street of Dharamsala. Animals, especially dogs, are cruelly mistreated and often hit by cars without a hint of compassion. Luckily, we do have community members that are compassionate and will call our Help Line if they see a sick or injured animal.
For Karan, he was unlucky to be hit in the head by a car, but then lucky that someone called us immediately to help him. At first, we did not think there was any hope. He could not walk, eat or even lift his head. After a day of medication and treatment, he started to act more alive.... wanting food, and trying to stand!! We were so happy.
As of today, he is still with us, walking and running, begging for treats and pets, but unfortunately still falling and a bit clumsy due to his head injury.
We are hoping for a full recovery and ask for you help to fund his healing time at DAR. If you can sponsor Karan for the holidays, or give a sponsorship for Karan as a gift, nothing would make us happier!
Please take a look at his photos and the video of him walking around our shelter yard.

Thanks for helping make the lives of Dharamsala's stray animals a bit better!
Happy Holidays from us to you.
