During the last 4 months (Jan - April) your donations and support have allowed us to do the following:

Also in the last 4 months we started a new rural village education program called "Karuna." The aim of the program is to bring compassion and safety to the villages.
Our latest program was with a group of 60 mother's and daughters, on April 7th.
Keeping with the theme, DAR focused on teaching how sterilization is good and not against god's will as most believed. We made the connection that no mother wants to see her children suffer and die while explaining how sterilisation will prevent this suffering.
We also emphasized the importance of communication so a daughter would feel safe telling her mom if she was bitten by a dog, even if it meant she left the house when she was not supposed to. We learned this was an issue during our last program.
We look forward to learning more and seeing how this program impacts the pups.
WHY STERILIZATION MATTERS - Uptick in TVT
Back in 2023, as we start venturing into new neighborhoods for our sterilization program, we began to see an increase transmissible venereal tumors cases. Dev is one of those dogs.
Dev not only had to have oral chemotherapy to survive, but he also had to have a penile amputation. Our amazing vet, Dr Shaheem, performed this complicated surgery giving him a new pathway for urination.
Without your donations, Dev would not have survived. With your support, we hope to reach 1200 sterilizations this year to prevent more dogs from suffering like Dev.
