Good Evening
First, may I thank everyone that has supported this project.
We are raising funds to aid the purchase of a Rapid Response Vehicle for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
Today EHAAT’s life-saving service operates 24/7 using air ambulances during the day and RRV’s at night or when circumstances such as bad weather and servicing prevent the air ambulances from flying.
RRV’s enable the charity’s critical care teams to reach patients at high speed in order to deliver life-saving interventions; allowing pre-hospital medical care to begin at the earliest opportunity and providing the patient with time to reach hospital by land. EHAAT’s critical care teams on board the RRV’s work closely with East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) teams and often travel with and care for the patient in the land ambulance on route to hospital.
RRV’s are an integral part of EHAAT’s clinical care provision. It is vital for the charity to maintain continuity of service by ensuring it has a reliable and safe fleet of specially equipped cars so that it can continue to offer lifesaving treatment to gravely ill and injured patients through the night and when the air ambulances are unable to operate.
GlobalGiving have their Little x Little promotion from 4th - 8th April and any donations up to 50$ will receive a 50% bonus so please can I ask that you share the project amongst your friends and hope they will be able to support this local life saving charity.
This project will run for another 3 months and I will then report on funds raised and the impact it will have on securing a RRV for EHAAT.
Thank you
Best regards
Steve Gale
