According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the satisfaction of the best interests of the child should be a basic right, not a privilege. The reality of children in Ukraine is hunger and fear. Club Eney wants to make our contribution and give Ukrainian children and their families warmth, food, protection and the opportunity for full development.
The war in Ukraine caused a crisis that affected every person. According to the results of the World Bank, the poverty level in Ukraine exceeded 24% in 2022, and by the end of 2023 it may increase to 55%, while the prices of essential goods are rising. Representatives of key communities, women who use drugs and sex workers, experience stigma and discrimination, difficulties in finding employment, and are often left to raise children on their own.
Club Eney provides nutrition, activities, and educational toys for children which parents are affected by the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. Their mothers, women with intersecting marginalization, will train in parenting and receive crisis psychological / reproductive health counseling to improve well-being of their families. Our work is based on people's needs, aimed at saving lives and reducing the suffering of vulnerable groups affected by the war and HIV epidemic.
The project will help at least 200 women with intersecting marginalization to care about their children and own mental health. It will strengthen them and help overcome the crisis. 600 children affected by the war will receive toys or drawing kits, and warm memories.
