Our project funds essential medicines and diagnostics for vulnerable women in Ukraine - survivors of violence, women who use drugs, and those living with HIV - who cannot access care through public hospitals. Donations ensure they receive timely, life-saving tests and treatments without choosing between health, food, or shelter.
Ukraine's healthcare system is under severe strain due to the war, with an 8 billion UAH (200$+ million) shortfall in early 2025. Many hospitals lack medicines, and state-funded diagnostics like MRI are often unavailable. High-risk women, including those with drug use history or living with HIV, cannot access life-saving tests and treatments.
This project provides women in critical need with access to essential medical diagnostics through private clinics, following a doctor's referral. We reimburse the costs for tests and medications that the public system cannot cover. Over the past two years, our initiative has already supported nearly 500 women across 16 regions of Ukraine, ensuring they receive timely care that could otherwise be inaccessible.
By bridging gaps in healthcare access, this project can reduce preventable complications and improve health outcomes for vulnerable women. It strengthens the safety net for high-risk populations, empowers women to take control of their health, and demonstrates a scalable model for community-based support that can continue beyond the immediate crisis.
