We are so appreciative of your help so we can continue to buy materials for kids in Cozumel, Mexico, and to tell their parents and them how they can inexpensively protect their teeth and gums from giving them problems.
Often they don't do anything until the pain in their mouth is so severe they have to see a dentist. By that time the solution is expensive or they pull the tooth. Loosing a tooth solve the pain issue right away, but then there are many more problems that will come from it.
We have only local licensed dentists conduct our workshops, and they have been wonderful volunteers. They wish our course would be mandatory in the elementary schools, but for now we have to be invited.
We provide each kid with a good quality toothbrush that will last several months, floss, toothpaste, and an informational packet explaining the importance of good dental hygiene.
With your continued help, we will change many kids lives. After all, for the first time ever, the Coca Cola company has put their Coke Zero product within 20% of the cost of regular Coke. Sugared beverages are a major cause of tooth decay in Mexico, because the average Mexican consumes nearly 2 liters of it a day.
