In Navrat we are convinced on daily basis, that only our help to the families at risk, where we are assisting, is not enought. That´s why we are looking for co-workers from organisations, insitutions, schools, as well as sensitive neighbors, volunteers, close or extended families to help families stay together.
It´s not always easy to understand their life style. Often we need to explain to people a lot about poverty, even generational poverty, about the cycle of repetition of the same „mistakes“. But are these „mistakes“? Can anyone give what he didn´t recieve? And if parents can only give a few percent of what we expect from them, who will make up for the rest, so that the family can stay together?
If both, experts and also laymen could build a good support network for the family at risk, this family will stay together. If not, children will be left alone, without daily contact with their parents. Trauma from separation has serious impact on child´s healthy development.
Let's get together! Let's protect these relationships, so that there will be no need to build new ones, that are already negatively influenced by the broken old ones.
What we achieved last year thanks to your support?
Behind these numbers are hidden the stories of families and our work with them. We have chosen one of many for you, that brings us great joy:
"We are working with a very young mother and her two children. One of them was born when the mother was 14 years old. We listen to her, appreciate her, support her, and guide her through our discussions. We also mediated for her the help of another person - an experienced mother, who shared with her her mother's experience and skills. Maybe thank´s to that help, she learned to trust more, she feels more confident, she knows how to get, what she needs. She started to spend more time with her children, she is trying to be a better mom. They play together more, and spend more, especially happy time, together."
