When playing with ordinary toys, unusual - healing things happen.
In Navrat, we have a special playground in which unusual things happen when playing with ordinary toys. There are children playing with their parents, while children are playing their way, parents responds to them but OTHER WAY - specially. Everything that parents do or say during the game, tells kids that they see and accept them. Some rules also apply during play, such as that children do not harm themselves, their parents, nor do they destroy the toys and the play end up at the agreed time.
It looks simple, but it's hard work for a parent. It is not enough to learn the "formula" with which they expresses acceptance during a child's play, but the parents must stay themselves all the time. Well, why are we doing all this?
Because children, and in particular those who have experienced difficult situations in the past, have limited options to express when they are having trouble. Whether they have squeezed socks in boots or the belief that Julka does not like me because she does not want to play with me, or the great fear or discomfort they feel when they come to an unknown place, or the conviction that all the kids want to do just bad things. That can arise from their difficult childhood experiences.
Thank you for Sabinka, Šarlotka, Barborka, Ivanka, Tomáška and Samka, who can use the game to express what they can not describe by words. That way they find relief and healing.
