Message to our supporters :)

Background: Our clients are adults with a serious mental disorder, mostly schizophrenics. They come to our rehabilitation center at different ages and in different periods of their illness. Some of them have a problem at all to focus on daily activities programs; the others are capable of much more. They are dreaming about work, but, in fact, they cannot perform it because of their illness. Many of our clients have a variety of knowledge and are skilled in some area.

Status: successfully finished project for the year 2015.

We financially supported  the operation:  our rehabilitation center and supported housing.

We added material for workshop, and have enriched the content of the workshop. We have strengthened the workers who participated in the preparation of the exhibition and discussions.

Detailed:

A new issue in the project, which we successfully realized:

1)      The Exhibition of paintings andliterary works of our clients  on 9th of September, 2015 at Starý

lyceum ,  Konventná 15, Bratislava, Slovakia.

The exhibition was opened for one month for wide public.

2) We realized  5 debates  about mental health.

3) Whereas, at the same time in the autumn of this year, we do celebrate the 20th anniversary of our activities

Project objectives :

No. 1 - we organized a public exhibition of paintings and literary works

  1. 2 - we provided  clients with the opportunity to experience the success of  their creation, and thus strengthen their own self-esteem and competence for greater autonomy
no. 3 - during the exhibition we realized 5 public debates on mental health
  2. 4 - show the relatives, their loved ones are able to develop their skills (guestbook) –the guests wrote into the guestbook their thoughts, thanks.
  3. 8 - strengthen the staff who will help with the preparation of the exhibition

THANK YOU all donors! With your gift, you give your hand to people with mental health illness to bring them out from their ´s solitude.
