Our cooking workshop

Background: Our clients are adults with a serious mental disorder, mostly schizophrenics. They come to our rehabilitation center at different ages and in different periods of their illness. Some of them have a problem at all to focus on daily activities programs; the others are capable of much more. They are dreaming about work, but, in fact, they cannot perform it because of their illness. Many of our clients have a variety of knowledge and are skilled in some area.

Status till 15th  of July, 2015, a actualized project which will reflect  our needs in the year 2015.

A new issue in the project:

1)      The Exhibition of paintings and literary works of our clients  on 9th of September, 2015 at Starý

lyceum ,  Konventná 15, Bratislava, Slovakia, the exhibition will be opened for one month for wide public

Many of our clients have a wide variety of knowledge and are skilled in some areas. With targeted support of the professionals they can develop their skills and share them with others clients. We provide these clients with the opportunity for public exhibition of their art and literary works, which will strengthen their confidence and competence to greater autonomy.

2) During the exhibition, we would like to reach a wider public; also we would like to realize a debate about mental health.

3) Whereas, at the same time in the autumn of this year, we do celebrate the 20th anniversary of our activities

To continue in previously project´ issues:

1)    Material and personnel

Strengthening the team we want to enrich the daily program for all clients and provide less skilled
clients the opportunity to practice basic labor skills.
Appreciation of the real positive self-esteem clients experience success through his own work, doing
