Background: Our clients are adults with a serious mental disorder, mostly schizophrenics. They come to our rehabilitation center at different ages and in different periods of their illness. Some of them have a problem at all to focus on daily activities programs; the others are capable of much more. They are dreaming about work, but, in fact, they cannot perform it because of their illness. Many of our clients have a variety of knowledge and are skilled in some area.
Our aim of project: With targeted support of professional staff they will able to lead a smaller block of activities and to share their knowledge and skills with other clients. We want to provide these clients with the opportunity to try to lead a block of the daily program, to take responsibility for their progress and learn the other clients something new. Blocks of the daily program, which could lead to the production of small items as small ceramic objects…, implementation of the proactive approach-"yourself"- hope, will turn the passive consumer (client) of the rehabilitation program into an active client.
