Intentional Sister's Keeper Corp (ISK Corp) is dedicated to providing critical support and resources to underserved communities. One of our flagship initiatives, The Help Feed the School Children Project, aims to ensure that children from low-income families receive nutritious meals, enabling them to focus on their education and personal development.

Project Overview

The Help Feed the School Children Project was established with the goal of addressing food insecurity among school-aged children. Our mission is to provide consistent, nutritious meals to children in need, helping to bridge the gap between their basic needs and their educational pursuits.

Challenges and Current Status

Despite our best efforts, the project has faced significant challenges over the past few months:

Funding Shortfall: We have been struggling with low to zero donations, which has severely impacted our ability to operate effectively. The lack of financial support has hindered our capacity to purchase food supplies, manage logistics, and sustain the program.

Operational Limitations: Due to the funding crisis, we have been unable to meet our mission goals. The reduction in resources has forced us to scale back the number of children we can support, affecting the reach and impact of our project.

Community Impact: The shortfall in support has resulted in a decrease in the number of meals distributed, directly affecting the children who rely on our services. This has compounded existing issues of food insecurity and undermined the intended benefits of the project.

Efforts to Address the Shortfall

We have taken several steps to address the financial challenges

Outreach and Awareness: We have launched campaigns to raise awareness about the project’s needs and its impact on the community. These efforts aim to attract potential donors and partners.

Partnerships: We are actively seeking partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and other stakeholders to secure additional resources and support.

Fundraising Events: We are organizing fundraising events and initiatives to generate the necessary funds to continue the project and expand its reach.

The Help Feed the School Children Project is a vital initiative that addresses a fundamental need in our community. However, the current financial constraints have significantly impeded our ability to fulfill our mission. We remain committed to overcoming these challenges and ensuring that no child goes hungry while pursuing their education.

Executive Summary

Intentional Sister's Keeper Corp mission is to eradicate childhood hunger, promote education, and empower women, embarked on the Daily School Feeding Project in 2023/2024. Our goal was to provide five hot lunch meals per week to school children in targeted communities. Despite facing challenges due to poor donations, the project has resulted in increased school attendance and the overall well-being of participating children. This report outlines the project's implementation, outcomes, challenges, and the foundation's commitment to continue this initiative.

Introduction

Background:Intentional Sister's Keeper Corp focuses on addressing childhood hunger, enhancing educational opportunities, and empowering women through sustenance and vocational skills training. The Daily School Feeding Project was designed as a cornerstone initiative to tackle malnutrition and hunger among school-aged children, thereby fostering a conducive learning environment.

Objective: The primary objective for the 2023/2024 academic year was to provide five nutritious lunch meals per week to children in underserved schools, aiming to support their health, attendance, and academic performance.

Methodology: Our methodology centered on partnerships with local food suppliers, engaging community volunteers for meal preparation and distribution, and collaborating with schools to identify and reach beneficiaries effectively.

Project Implementation: The project was implemented with the collaboration of three schools, reaching a significant number of children, though fewer than initially targeted due to funding constraints.
