Cycle Kosovo for Children is an annual charity cycling event launched in 2014, bringing together 50 cyclists to ride 500 km across Kosovo and climb over 7,000 meters - all in support of raising funds for essential medical equipment for local healthcare institutions. Now in its 11th year, the event marks a decade of dedication to children's health in Kosovo. This year's proceeds will support the Main Family Medicine Center in Drenas to improve maternity care and community well-being.
Due to the absence of essential medical equipment, the Maternity Ward at the Main Family Medicine Center in Drenas has been unable to provide vital healthcare services to infants, leaving them without critical care and support.
Through close collaboration with hospital leadership and medical staff, we identified the critical gaps in medical equipment and committed to addressing them. Our aim is to ensure that every newborn receives the essential care and support they rightfully deserve.
The provision of this vital equipment is expected to have a lasting effect, supporting the health of countless newborns in the years ahead and strengthening the long-term capacity of the maternity ward to meet the need.
